Highlight
The share of rebates claimed by Californians living in low income communities and/or disadvantaged communities has grown steadily for all types of ZEVs except for other EVs,55 reaching 34% for BEV, 37% for PHEV, and 46% for FCEV in 2023. Battery electric vehicles (BEVs) accounted for over 94% of clean-vehicle rebates in 2023.
