- For the first time, the number of electric light-duty pickups, SUVs and vans registered exceeded one hundred thousand in 2020 (109,318), up 71.8 percent compared to 2019. In addition, within this segment, ZEVs represented over one percent of all pickups, SUVs and vans (1.01%) for the first time in 2020. With the arrival of some highly anticipated electric trucks in 2022, electrification of the segment should continue to accelerate.
